This Week' Playoff Games

There is only one game between team in the BCS top 25 this week.

#17 Stanford Cardinal @ #25 California Golden Bears

This game is one of three games this week that will shape the PAC 10 race.  Oregon vs. Arizona will provide a more pronounced difference, and Arizona could get back into the rankings with a win.  If WSU beats Oregon State the rest of the nation will mock the Beavers.

This is one of the 5 PAC 10 rivalries.  The Golden Bears have an outside shot at a share of the PAC 10 title and Stanford can still win a trip to the Rose Bowl.  Lose this week and either team loses those opportunities.

Meanwhile 4 teams are off this week.  Those teams are:

#5 Cincinnati

#7 Georgia Tech

#9 Pittsburgh

#18 USC

Looks like someone dropped the ball on some quality game opportunities.  This is not uncommon for the week before the rivalry weekend that traditionally follows Thanksgiving.

All remaining games involving BCS top 25 teams after the jump.

Star-divide

#1 Florida Gators vs. Florida International
#2 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Chattanooga
#3 Texas Longhorns vs. Kansas
#4 TCU Horned Frogs @ Wyoming
#6 Boise St. Broncos @ Utah St.
#8 LSU Tigers @ Mississippi
#10 Ohio St. Buckeyes @ Michigan
#11 Oregon Ducks @ Arizona
#12 Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs. Colorado
#13 Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Minnesota
#14 Penn St. Nittany Lions @ Michigan St.
#15 Virginia Tech Hokies vs. North Carolina St.
#16 Wisconsin Badgers @ Northwestern
#19 Oregon St. Beavers @ Washington St.
#20 Miami Hurricanes vs. Duke
#21 Utah Utes vs. SDSU
#22 BYU Cougars vs. Air Force
#23 Clemson Tigers vs. Virginia
#24 Houston Cougars vs. Memphis

I am interested in seeing if Texas can move on the Kansas defense and how TCU matches against a team Texas beat 41-10 at the same venue.

TCU fares four points better than Texas. Debate over, TCU is the best team in Texas!

. . .

Ok, well not really debate over, but it’s satisfying nonetheless
