In my humble but accurate opinion...

1. Florida
2. Alabama
3. Iowa
4. Texas
5. Texas Christian
6. Boise State
7. Cincinatti
8. Louisiana State
9. Georgia Tech
10. Oregon

Florida has the most impressive win of the unbeatens (@ LSU).
LSU is first in line of the once-defeated.
Oregon has to live with its loss to Boise (although the whooping they put on USC was amazing).

I think LSU, GT, and Oregon are all better teams than most of the teams I ranked ahead of them, but losses should not be overlooked. The Crimson Tide will have a chance to prove itself next week vs. LSU.

I would love to see an SEC/Pac-10 match-up in the BCS Championship, but I don’t think it should be a foregone conclusion that the champion from any conference is deserving of a spot in that game. This may be the perfect example of a year where the “Plus 1” model would be very beneficial.

I can’t see Oregon sitting still at #10, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the human pollsters put them as high as #4.

Assuming USC drops from the top 5 and the Hawks move from #8 to #7 in the human polls, is that really enough to leapfrog Texas?

Hell, I’m hoping that Floribama, Texas, Iowa, Boise St., and TCU (and hell, why not Cincy) all go undefeated. Mark up one more notch against the ridiculousness that is the BCS championship system.

I'll be really surprised

if Penn State isn’t in the top 15.

Good call.

I have no idea how I missed them. They should be #11, between Georgia Tech and USC, with everyone else sliding down one.

The human votes appear to be falling 2-1 in Boise States favor.

The computeres are falling 5-1 in Oregons favor.

This works to a wash. It could become a coin flip if both continue to win.
